Luminous Meadow (2024)

Stretching 53 meters along Suzhou’s vibrant Quanqian Street promenade, Amy Thai's light installation “Luminous Meadow,” commissioned by MATRO Mall for the festive season, transforms one of Suzhou city’s most vibrant hubs into a glowing spectacle of light and bloom. Covering 403 square meters along the Louis Vuitton ceiling facade, it features thousands of hand-assembled fairy lights forming kaleidoscopic flowers. This radiant pathway blends nostalgia and futurism, inviting visitors to experience a harmonious fusion of colour, nature, and technology.

This interplay between the organic and the digital has been a core focus of Amy Thai’s work. In earlier projects like Butterfly Habitat, she explored the integration of florals with projection mapping, generative algorithms, and code-based design. With Luminous Meadow, she advances this exploration, blending technical precision with natural forms to create a space that invites reflection, connection, and awe.
